People say it like a finish line. A number that lands in an account and buys the right to stop pretending.
It is a good phrase and a bad definition. The people who use it usually mean an exit. A sale, a raise, a windfall. Something that happens to you once, if you are lucky, and then the story is over.
I have watched a lot of founders wait for that. Most of them are still waiting. In the meantime they take the work they do not want, from the people they do not trust, on the terms they cannot argue with, because the alternative is nothing at all. That is not a talent problem. It is an infrastructure problem.

That is the whole reveal. There is no second act to it. SPACEBOY was never a company mascot or a brand exercise. It was a boy standing under an eclipse, deciding that the dark part was not the end of the thing.
I kept the face scarred and the name quiet for a long time, and I did it on purpose. Early on, the work needed to be judged without me attached to it. A platform that tells entrepreneurs their record matters more than their pitch cannot open by asking you to trust a personality. So the mark carried a scar, the version stayed at 0.0, and the builds spoke first.
The builds have spoken. So I am putting my name on it.
The currency is the ability to say no.
Not the balance. The option. The moment you can turn down the wrong client, the wrong term sheet, the wrong job, and still eat next month - that is the thing everyone is actually chasing when they use the phrase. Money is one way to buy it. It is not the only way, and for most people it is not the available way.
The other way is infrastructure. Somewhere to learn that pays you while you learn. Real client work routed to you instead of auctioned away from you. A record of what you have delivered that an investor can read without you in the room. A community that answers when you are stuck. Each one of those is a small no you can afford to say. Stack enough of them and you have the same freedom, earned rather than inherited.
That is what the ecosystem is: education, job-cards, analytics, the smart card and the think tank, in one account, pointed at one outcome. Not a course. A way out of needing permission.
